Je cherche à explorer cette idée de traces "delignyiennes" pour réfléchir sur mes propres démarches autobiographiques ; en premier, j'ai créé cette carte de ma flânerie (de jeunesse) pour démontrer mes désirs et recherches existentiels. 

Je vois ma vie en chapitres autobiographiques, divisés en périodes de cinq ans  (I : 1979-84 ; II : 1984-89 ; III : 1989-94 ; IV : 1994-99 ; V : 1999-2004 ; etc.) 

De jouer avec cette idée de "traces sans langage" m'intrigue - d'explorer le pourquoi des choix que j'ai pris à l'époque : de voir une décennie de ma vie franchir des géographies entre cette région boréale de mon enfance et adolescence, ici en Abitibi-ontarien, jusqu'en extrême Sud carolinien à Windsor à l'âge de 18 ans ; d'une vie à Moose-Factory proche de la, soi-disant, Baie James ; de traverser le continent en direction ouest et nord-ouest (le Manitoba et le Yukon) ; nord-est (Nunavut et Eeyou Istchee) ; en Europa à l'âge de 24 ans pour travailler sur une ferme en Allemagne ; une vie sud-ontarienne comme étudiant à Waterloo et Windsor ; au Québec pour les études (Trois-Rivières et Chicoutimi) et travailler (Montréal) ; des voyages aux États-Unis jusqu'en Caroline du Nord ; et finalement, une vie à Toronto à l'âge de 25 ans et 27 ans.

I'm seeking to explore the idea of "Delignyian" traces and lines to reflect on my own autobiographical pathways; at first, I created this map of my youthful wanderings to visualize my own searching \ longing for existential truths (which mostly started around the age of 21 years old).

I see my life as lived in "autobiographical chapters", divided into five-year periods (I: 1979-84; II: 1984-89; III: 1989-94; IV: 1994-99; V: 1999-2004; etc.

To play with this idea of "traces without language" is intriguing - to explore the choices made at the time (my late adolescence and twenties): to see a decade of my life transiting between geographies, from a starting point at 18 years old, in the boreal Abitibi Country of Northeastern Ontario; to the remnant Carolinian zones of peninsular Southwestern Ontario at Windsor; to Moose Factory, close to (so-called) James Bay; to traversing this continent (this Turtle Island) to the far-reaches of the Yukon, Nunavut, and Eeyou Istchee (the Cree country along the east coast of that great northern sea (so-called Hudson Bay); to Europa: England, France, and work on a farm in Germany at 24 years old; a Southern Ontarian life as a student in Waterloo and Windsor; travels through the eastern States, (south into that other Carolinian zone); periods of study and work in Québec; and finally to Toronto, for a life of transformation, longing and understanding at 25 and 27 years of age (that would last decades).
